A favorite party snack, masala fish fry is also a great casual meal for cold rainy days. It keeps you warm on the inside while satisfying your cravings and satisfying your taste buds.   • Fish - 8 pieces
  • Yogurt - 1 cup
  • Salt - 1 tbsp
  • Pepper - 1 teaspoon
  • Red Chili Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Turmeric - 1 teaspoon
  • Coriander Powder - 1 teaspoon
  • Hot Spice Powder - 1 tsp
  • Carom Seed Powder - 1 tsp
  • Roasted Cumin Powder - 1 tsp
  • Garlic paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Ginger paste - 1 teaspoon
  • Fresh lemon juice - 2 tbsp
  • Oil - for shallow frying

Instructions

  1. In a deep bowl, combine yogurt, salt, pepper, cayenne powder, turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala, caramel seed powder, roasted cumin, garlic and ginger paste.
  2. Mix all the ingredients to make a thick paste.

  3. In the meantime, wash and dry the fish pieces.
  4. Squeeze fresh lemon juice on both sides of the fish.
  5. Now apply this paste on both sides of the fish and marinate for 1 hour or give more time for marinating to absorb the spice.

  6. After 01 hour, brush the oil on the pan.
  7. Once the oil is hot, place the fish and cook on both sides for about 10 minutes. When cooked on one side and golden brown, turn the fish lightly and cook on the other side until it turns golden.

  8. Garnish with chopped coriander / cilantro and squeeze the lemon juice.
  9. Fish Fry Spice Ready!

Notice

  • Make sure the marinade is non-aquatic or the water will leak out during cooking.
  • Marinate for 3 to 4 hours to get the best result, otherwise 1 hour is enough.
  • Initially place the fish in a frying pan over high heat then turn the heat to medium to cook on the inside.
  • Treat the fish gently as it may break when turned.
  • You can use any type of fish to make this recipe.
  • Salmon, Roho, Poplet, or Silver Snapper are good for this recipe otherwise you can use any one according to your availability.
