CLASSIC ALOO MUTTER SAMOSA _ CRISPY ALOO PEAS SAMOSA RECIPE

Samosa is an indian breakfast that no one can oppose. Not only indians love this breakfast but many people all over the world also like it. This india breakfast is always there to help you whenever you feel hungry_whenever its your breakfast time on in the middle of the night. Using less oil, you can easily make samosas at home in a healthy way. 

INGREDIENTS

For the Dough:
  • 2 cups all _ purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon celery (carom seeds)
  • 1 tablespoon light cooking oil 
  • water as needed 
For the Filling: 
  • 2 table spoon light cooking oil 
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon fennel seeds 
  • 1 small onion finely chopped
  • 1/2 a teaspoon of red chilli powder 
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder 
  • 1 teaspoon amchoor powder 
  • salt to taste 
  • 1 cup frozen green peas
  • boil 2 - 3 medium sized potatoes and cut into small pieces 
  • finely chopped fresh coriander leaves for garnish 
For Fry:
  • Oil for deep frying

INSTRUCTIONS

For the Dough:
  •  Mix all the dry ingredients in a large bowl and slowly add a little water at a time to make a nice soft dough. Divide the dough into golf_sized balls and set aside.


For the Filling: 

  • Fry cumin, coriander and fennel seeds in hot oil water in a large pan till they start melting add chopped onion and fry for one or two minuts till soft and light brown.
  • Add spices, salt peas and fry for a few few seconds until fragrent.
  • Add the potatoes to the cubes and mix well.
  • Add fresh coriander and mix again.

For the Samosas:

  •  Roll each ball of flour into circular discs about half a centimeter thick. cut the circles   in half to form two semicircles.
  •  Taking each semicircle, rotate one end from the other end in a conical shape. Slightly   press the edge of the one cone with your fingers to prevent it from opening. fill each   cone with potato filling. to make a dent, tap a little in the middle of the open end of   the cone, and press the edges to close tightly, forming a pyramid-like shape.

  •  Continue for the remaining dough. deep fry the samosas in hot oil untill golden and   crispy on all sides.
