                   KADI PKORA RECIPE

Curry (kadi)  is a popular dish of northern India, which is made with basin and yoghurt with important ingredients and is mixed with gram flour dumplings and various spices. A popular lunch recipe in all Indian households, curry is best served with cooked rice.


INGREDIENTS

  • 6 cups water
  •  1/4 cup oil 
  • 1/2 teaspoon hang 
  • 2 tablespoons cumin
  •  5-6 whole red peppers 
  • for tampering: 
  • 1 tablespoon pure butter 
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder 

for fritters: 

  • 1 cup gram flour 
  • 1 Tablespoon salt
  •  1/2 cup oil 

How to Make Besan Kadhi

1.Mix the chickpea flour, turmeric, chilli powder, salt and garam masala.

2.Add yogurt gradually to this mixture to form a smooth paste, and then add the water.

3.Heat the oil in a large, heavy-based pan; add the asafoetida, cumin seeds and the whole red chillies.

4.When the cumin seeds begin to splutter, add the flour and yogurt mixture and bring to a boil.

5.Boil on low heat until it thickens a little.

Prepare dumplings:

1. Mix the above ingredients in a smooth batter with enough water to form a thick consistency. Let the flour rest for at least 15 minutes. 

2. Heat 1/2 cup oil in a frying pan. 

3. Beat the dumpling mixture until light and sharp, and add the filled teaspoon.

4. Reduce heat to medium. Fry the dumplings.

5. When the dumplings turn golden brown, turn them over and brown on the other side.

6. Repeat this process with the rest of the mixture. 7. Transfer the hot curry to a serving dish.

8. Heat the clean butter, add the chili powder and immediately put on the curry to garnish.
